Engineered Wood Flooring

Real-oak top layer on a stable plywood core — the warmth of wood with the practicality you need.

Engineered wood flooring gives you the look and feel of a genuine hardwood floor with the everyday stability of a multi-layer plywood core. Each plank is finished with a real oak (or walnut) top layer that can be sanded back and re-oiled if it ever needs a refresh, while the cross-bonded base layers resist the cupping and gapping that solid timber can suffer from in modern centrally-heated homes.

That stability is what makes our engineered oak flooring the right choice over solid wood for the vast majority of UK living rooms, kitchens and hallways — and it's the only sensible wood option above underfloor heating. We stock light oak, medium and rich dark oak tones, smoked and brushed grey shades, and on-trend herringbone parquet planks across thicknesses from 14mm right up to 20mm with a 5–6mm wear layer.

Every range here ships with free UK delivery on orders over £750 and free samples — so you can check the colour against your skirting and sofa before you commit. If you'd like a fitter as well as the floor, our local Supply & Fit service covers the North West from our Runcorn showroom.
